Reply:you have some great suggestions already.

i will add that there is HELLEBORE that has a green flower and even the ones that start coloured will become green.

i love hellebores and they start really early. Also once the flowers are done the leaves are enormous.

They do need shade though

Reply:I have to agree with the poster below...the green zinnia (envy) is one of the most beautiful green flowers ever...the seeds are hard to come by in the store, you have to watch for them or order them. They sell out quickly...same with Belles of Ireland, which we cut and dry every year and harvest seeds. Green flowering plants are a rarity in the garden..these things add real interest! People always comment! The green zinnia is shocking.
Reply:Belles of Ireland--REALLY beautiful! Tall and stately

Coneflower--They have a new variety that is green

Zinnia, Envy--a BEAUTIFUL green shade

I have planted all of these and had great luck with them...I planted them with black and ivory flowers and it was beautiful

*edit* I almost forgot that I planted the newer Hydrangea, Limelight which has an extremely long lime green stage--then the tips become pink edged. Limelight holds the solid green stage more than any of the hydrangeas and and has massive blossoms on it.. I was very pleased with this new variety!
Reply:Cockleshells and mums, for starters :)
Reply:Peegee hydrangeas are quite green when they bloom in large clusters and then mature into a dusky cream with a reddish edge. They are perennials which is nice because they come back every year. I just prune mine to keep their bushy growth.

Reply:NO plant has green flowers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is like the myth that the red part of the Poinsettia is the blossom, but it is not, the yellow part is the flower of the Poinsettia!

There are some orchids that truly have green blossoms, but from past documentation, orchids are not "plants", however, current information from wikipedia claims orchids are plants while admitting that they depend on fungi to exist for their nutrients. I still think of orchids as not being plants.

There are some flowers that initially have a green tint at the base of the flowers which is not technically the flower blossom, and it occurs when they initially open, but as photosynthesis is not conducted in the blossom itself, there are no flowers with green coloration. Only a few kinds of the orchid have any green coloration at all, but it is not due to photosynthesis.puppy teeth
