How do I get my dog to stop peeing on my flowers and plants ?

Buy a Fire Hydrant
Say
FlowersBirthday FlowersSympathy FlowersSpay or neuter whichever is appropriate, and you can get

products at your pet store or on-line stores that you can spray or sprinkle around the plants to keep the dog away.
Reply:There are products made to spray around your flower beds to keep dogs(and deer and rabbits) away. Check in a home and garden or hardware Store.
Reply:There are repellant products and repelling plants that you could try. Spraying him with water or some such might work but if you're going to be out with him the whole time you might as well put a leash on him and keep him away.

There are also what are called "pee posts" which attract dogs for that purpose, you could try putting several of them in a part of the yard away from the garden.

You could also get an invisible fence and set it up to keep him away from the flowers that way. Or just fence in a smaller portion of your yard or build a dog run.

Good luck.
Reply:When we planted our bushes and plants my dog would walk through them all the time. My husband placed a small wire fence around the area and she stooped going in there. You can't see the wire because the plants have grown around it in some parts.
Reply:potty train it...all he wants to do is help your gardening by watering your plants dont punish him or her
Reply:You need to find out why the dog is peeing on your plants. Is it marking its territory? Both male %26amp; female dogs are territorial. If that's the reason, it will help if your garden is dog-proof. My dogs pee on my plants more frequently in the front yard as other dogs come and pee there too, so that they can remark it. Desexing can reduce this behaviour. Otherwise, you may have to squirt it with water when you catch it peeing on your plants in order to deter the behaviour. Good luck!Soles
