Reply:Pumpkins have both male flowers and female flowers. Only the female flowers will produce fruit. The pollen needs to get from the male flowers to the female flowers somehow. If the plants are outside where healthy pollinating insects abound, the insects will do the pollinating for you. Otherwise, you will need to transfer some pollen from the male flowers to the stigmas of the female flowers by hand.
