FlowersBirthday FlowersSympathy FlowersDeer and animal resistant are terms that are tossed around a little too freely some times. There is pretty much something that will eat anything, so there is no hard and fast answer to your question. Our website has some tips on what to plant that deer are adverse to, but if they are hungry enough they will eat anything that is available to them.

Reply:Here in eastern part of Washington state we find that deer, Elk and Moose will eat every type of plant that grows, Especially plants that have just come up in the Spring.
My nephew had just planted a small new apple tree. When he went into his house to wash his hands, he looked out of his window and a Moose was chewing off the top of the tree.
Reply:Marigolds---deer and rabbits HATE them---put them on the outside of your garden as a border---their bright orange and auburn color will make a very pretty border against the other more colorful flowers in the garden and will help to keep critters away from the rest of the flowers.......Planting Peppermint plants will also do the trick but they do NOT have a flower so that would make your garden border all one color---green....
Reply:Ajuga, Sweet woodruff, Lily of the Valley, Vinca, Yarrow, Dianthus, Echinacea, Cranesbill, Helleborus, Liatris, Taodflax, Russian Sage, Coneflower, Veronica, Clematis, Butterfly Bush, Marigolds, Boxwood, Lilacs, And Holly are all plantsw and shrubs that deer sont care much for. Unfortunately sometimes they sample things anyway. Good Luck.skin disease
