Ladies!live plants or cut flowers from your beau?

which would you rather receive?

I like live plants myself.
Say
FlowersBirthday FlowersSympathy FlowersPlants, hands down. Preferably a flowering one!
Reply:I%26#039;m no lady but I%26#039;ll answer your question.

I would actually prefer cut flowers from a friend, relative, or love interest. I love houseplants, but they are also a chore and I prefer to choose the one%26#039;s that seem to like my house the best.

If they gave me a plant for outside or seeds for outside, I would like that too. But overall, I would prefer cut flowers because they often are seasonal and give the inside of the house a seasonal appearance. Then, after a few days, I can move on to something else. The memory of cut flowers is still there though.
Reply:Flowers...I kill plants to easy...lol
Reply:Personally, I prefer a kiss and maybe dinner.....
Reply:I already have so many plants that I really love it when I get cut flowers.
Reply:Never really thought about it. I%26#039;d be happy to get either. He%26#039;s gotten me both, and I%26#039;m growing a plant from the seed of a plant that he got me like a year ago. I think that%26#039;s pretty cool
Reply:Either one. I love em all.
Reply:You%26#039;ll like whatever I give you! (if that%26#039;s ok with you, of course.)

Sorry, I couldn%26#039;t resist. My wife likes both, but I prefer to give her cut flowers as she doesn%26#039;t have a %26quot;green thumb%26quot; and I despise having one.
Reply:Cut flowers from a florist are my choice. In my experience, boys don%26#039;t know much about trimming flowers...or taking care of flowers....or even picking flowers...;)
Reply:Since I rarely get fresh flowers, when I do it%26#039;s a real treat for me. I make them last as long as possible. Yet a plant lasts so much longer and gives me a longer memory of the reason I received it.
Reply:Live Please. I want something that I can continue to enjoy for a long, long, long time. I%26#039;ve had one of my ivy%26#039;s for 30 years now. We%26#039;ve grown old together!!!

And I still think about the person that gave it to me every time I water and feed.
Reply:Questioning why this is limited to ladies! Men get flowers too, and you would be surprised at their reactions! I had no idea what to give my Dad for Father%26#039;s day, so sent him a bouquet...told he cried with happiness, as he had NEVER gotten flowers before! Given the choice of cut vs live, I will take live any day of the week...I plant the live ones, and they live on in my yard as a rememberance of the giver and the occasion. And yes, I have recieved flowers on many occasions, never, never had any reaction but ...HOW nice! Women, take a lesson...there is absolutely NO reason you cannot send your man a plant or flower...you will be amazed at his reaction! Love and peace, goldwing
Reply:I%26#039;m a plant gal. Flowers are nice but they die too soon and a plant will live on to remind you on the sentiment and bring you joy ;o)
Reply:Fresh cut flowers.
Reply:Live plants if it is an orchid
Reply:neither! i have allergies
Reply:Live growing plants with nice-smelling flowers would be the best for people who CAN take care of plants. Cut flowers die in a week and that%26#039;s just too sad.
Reply:well i use to prefer plants because they stay living you know the sentiment thing -

but one guy dropped a bomb on me he was just a friend but he aske dme why i prefered planted flowers i said because they dont die in two weeks - why would you want to give someone you love something that will die - he said - because thats the only excuse i need to buy her more -

if i found a man like this cut flowers other than that buy me a plant
Reply:neither.

i want him to get me some d a m n nutter butters!

haha..
Reply:Always cut flowers. I might buy a plant for myself, but almost never do I splurge on cut flowers. Gerber daisies, Bright pink roses.

Reply:Both are definitely great. Plants or flowers say a million things about the giver, it certainly pleases the receiver and they%26#039;re just great gifts for anyone .
Reply:I%26#039;m not a green thumb... So, cut flowers. LOL That way they die and then I can throw them away. But I much rather prefer the husband taking care of the four of us, than flowers, hands down.
Reply:Well my husband has never given me a plant of any kind. But

he has given me many bouquets. In fact, today he surprised

me with a beautiful bouquet to cheer me up since I%26#039;ve been

coping with a stomach flu that is going around our city like

wildfire. I think this is the first time, he%26#039;s ever given me flowers

when I wasn%26#039;t feeling well. So that means alot to me, that he

cared to make my day a little special.

As to my personal preference, I guess I do prefer the cut

flowers so that I can see blooming flowers inside where I

mostly am.
Reply:Cut Flowers (especially one I can dry), I tend to kill plants.
Reply:it all depends on whether you have a green thumb or not. Myself, I have a hard time remembering to water live plants. I prefer cut flowers, or silk flowers. Silk lasts longer that cut . Smiles.
Reply:both are nice!, i guess if i HAD to choose, cut flowers
Reply:I%26#039;m lucky I get both, but I think I would prefer plants if I had to choose.
Reply:Live.
Reply:Cut flowers because they are pretty, smell nice, and are already going to die. That way I don%26#039;t have to feel guilty when I forget to water it and it inevitably dies. However, if I had the ability to keep plants alive for more than a month, then I would prefer live plants.computer
