I have diffrent pepper plants with flowers on them and have a question about maturity time?

How long does it take them to mature. They are very small and seem to not be growing very fast any hints to make them grow fast. If not I was wondering how long they take to fully ripen. I have red, green, yellow, and banana.
Say
FlowersBirthday FlowersSympathy FlowersIt depends on the variety of the pepper, on average they take about 60 days from the time you see the flowers. You

can speed things up with a little trick.

What you want to do is to raise the temp of the soil around them. This is easy to do.Several ideas:

lay a black trash bag around the soil, keeping a hole around the plant for water or remove while you water and place it back when you are done.

Fill liter bottles of water and place them around the plant, the sun will heat the water and the temp. will stay warmer at night.

Tin foil around the plants will work also, it just does not last too long and you have to replace it often

There are also water-walls you can buy however they can be expensive if you have alot of plants.

After you see the peppers on the plant pull back on the water a little they will mature a little faster if they are not over watered.

I hope this helps and happy peppers!!
Reply:I believe it%26#039;s about 70 days to maturity once you plant it outside. Peppers don%26#039;t grow as fast as other veggies.

Keep in mind that they like it quite warm.
Reply:I have always had difficulty with peppers. They like a hot and dry summer. Last year we had one of those plus my aunt told me to try adding epsom salts to the soil once every couple weeks. I had great peppers last year.. not sure if it was the weather or the epsom salts. They do take a long time..although I find the banana peppers are a little faster.
Reply:MIRACLE GROW IS THE BEST WAS TO GIVE THEM A BOOST AND FEED THEM THE SOLUTION ONCE A WEEK.I HAVE THE SAME KIND OF PEPPER PLANTS AND THEY DO GREAT. MINE EVEN GOT EATEN DOWN BY MY GOATS,BUT I STARTED FEEDING MIRACLE GROW AND THEY CAME BACK TO LIFE!IT SHOULDNT TAKE LONG SINCE YOU ALREADY SEE BLOOMS!YOULL START NOTICING THE BLOOMS DRYING UP IN CLOSE TO A WEEK,THEN YOULL BE ABLE TO SEE BABY PEPPERS!THEY WILL BE SO TINY!BUT THEY WILL START GROWING BIGGER AND BIGGER EACH WEEK.THE LONGER YOU LEAVE PEPPERS ON THE PLANT THE BIGGER THEY WILL GET,BUT I HAVE FOUND THAT ONCE THEY GET ESTABLISHED IF YOU START PICKING THE PEPPERS REGULAR THE MORE PEPPERS THE PLANTS WILL PRODUCE.YOU WILL BE ABLE TO TELL WHEN TO PICK THEM THEY WILL LOOK THE WAY THE PEPPERS YOU REMEMBER FROM PICTURES.REALLY ONCE THEY GET BIG,ITS REALLY YOU CHOICE ABOUT WHEN YOU PICK THEM.GARDENING YOU MOSTLY HAVE TO LEARN BY TRIAL AND ERROR.YOU CAN LEARN ALL YOU WANT,FROM BOOKS,BUT I GUARANTEE YA THAT HANDS ON EXPERIENCE IS BETTER,BECAUSE EVERYTHING DOESNT ALWAYS GO BY TEXT BOOK.affiliate reviews
