What are some outdoor plants or flowers that bloom all summer long?

Most annuals will bloom all season. Impatiens for shady areas, marigolds, zinnias, petunias, etc., for sunny areas. If you want something in the perennial family - consider Begonias (Burpee sells some great varieties) - they do well in shade and bloom most of the season. Caladiums don%26#039;t technically bloom, but they do produce very bright foliage that is often even brighter than flowers (as long as you just want red/pink/white shades.) Just be sure to pull them out before winter. They don%26#039;t like cold (begonias OR caladiums.)

Reply:I bought impatiens last year around the end of June. They bloomed all the way until it started getting cold - end of September here, in jersey... they%26#039;re beautiful, and come in a large variety of colors, but you have to water them EVERY day, sometimes twice if it%26#039;s really hot.
Reply:Try Impatients to punch up a shady area. They can take sun but have to be watered often. :o)
