Flowers
Reply:The packets should tell you how far apart to sow the seeds. On some flowers you seperate the seeds, and on some you just sprinkle. Go by that, and then pinch off the weakest ones til you have the number of flowers that pleases you. Don't pull out the weak ones because it will damage the roots of the strong ones.
Reply:The clay pots are nicer. Read the seed packet for details. They always say it quite clearly.
Reply:the choice of pots to use is up to you, make sure you have a saucer to put underneath the pot so it catches.
for the seeds, it really depends on what the package says, but if for some reason it doesn't say I just throw 2 to 4 seeds per hole.
You know those little plastic pudding cups that you throw out when you eat a pudding? I save those and fill those up with dirt and throw my seed in there to germinate and when its about 2 inches tall I then transplant it to my planter pot. I love watching my plants grow and do that extra step just cause I like too, you can just throw the seed in the planter pot and watch it grow, it doesn't really make a big difference.
Reply:Clay pots I like the best but you do have to water them more maybe even 2-3 times a day because they dry out-I paint some of mine too-it's fun-I always plant some with seeds and I do buy some flowers too for instant color-I would check the seed packet and read how many days from seed to flower because they generally say how many days to flower so if it say's it could be 60 day's it will not bloom for 2 months(thats something to consider) but I do a little of both-Good Luck!
Reply:I would definately use clay pots for they are more sturdy and resistant to turning over in the wind. as for the amount of seeds to use it depends on the size of the pot. Just follow the instuctions on the package.
Reply:It's lots easier to buy the plants already blooming, rather than wait for them to grow; Then you have instant color!
Flowerpot type is pure personal preference- I paint my own, actually. Just get some topsoil from the store and fill the pot around the root system of the plant.hairstyles hair style
