Flowers
Reply:The holes are for the extra water to drain out and not spoil in the pot. Just don't over water and it won't be a problem. you could add (fish tank) gravel to the bottom to collect the water and it will evaporate.
Reply:i would plant the bulbs in plastic pots with holes buy ones that will fit into your hole less ones all plant and bulbs need drainage
Reply:I have used pots without the drainage holes before, I have also used either broken pieces of pots or stones on the bottom of the pots ,just make sure that you don't over water the bulbs, if you are not sure and really depend on the potted bulbs for the wedding ,I would go to a local nursery and ask them to grow them for you in the green house this way you will be guaranteed perfect potted Narcissus
Reply:Congratulations!

No, bulbs and roots do not soak up all the water. If they do not drain, the extra water will rot the bulbs and roots. You will need holes in the bottom of the pots that you actually grow the flowers in.
You can put gravel/rocks in the bottom of the pretty non-hole pots and set the pots with holes down into the non-hole pots. By the way, this is what the non-hole pots are for. :o)
I have two suggestions.....get with a florist or a garden nursery and ask someone to help you with this job. It will not be easy.
Secondly how about putting silk flowers in the non-hole pots. Not everyone has a place to plant flowers. I know that I would rather take home a pretty pot of silk flowers. These can be found in most hobby shops. This will take a BIG load off your shoulders because flowers do not always bloom when we want them to.www.poetry.com
