Hi! I'm growing my own flowers for the first time, and I followed the directions on the packet of seeds, but I neglected to read the part about spacing them out, and I planted them WAY too close together and now they're all growing in the flower pot, there's a ton of them. I plan to transfer them to a bigger area outside once it gets warmer, but if they keep growing like this before then, will they die? They're packed in there pretty badly lol, I feel like a moron. Anyway, thanks for your advice!

Thin them out or they may crowd and die. You can try to replant the ones that you thin into another pot, but have it ready before thinning!
Reply:Thinning is the only answer. If they're all the same it won't matter if you loose a few. Next time try a planting tray with individual cells. Save the ones you get when you buy the other plants you didn't start this year. Good luck!
Reply:William's right. I just use a very small pair of scissors and cut off the small weak ones and leave the rest to continue growing.
